Patient technology help at home
Connected Living Support
Technology should make everyday life easier—not leave people feeling confused, isolated or unable to access essential services.
Connected Living Support
Patient technology help at home
CDSS provides patient, respectful, in-home technology support for older Australians, people living with disability, carers and families, or anyone who would like greater confidence using their devices.
How we can help
We take the time to explain things clearly, at your pace and without technical jargon. Our aim is to help you feel more connected, capable and independent—not simply fix a device and leave.
Set up mobile phones, tablets, computers, printers and smart TVs
Connect devices to Wi-Fi and resolve connection problems
Explain email, messaging, video calls and useful apps
Help you navigate online services like myGov, Medicare, Centrelink, My Aged Care & NDIS
Set up telehealth and health-related apps
Adjust accessibility features like larger text, voice controls, captions and screen readers
Set up emergency contacts and location-sharing features
Explain password management and basic online security
Show you how to recognise scam calls, messages, emails and fake websites
Help family members provide safe remote support
Offer independent guidance before you purchase a device, internet service or other technology

Support
Support you can refer back to.
Where helpful, we can prepare a simple, large-print My Technology Guide with personalised instructions for your own device.
This might include how to make a video call, access an important service, connect to Wi-Fi or complete another task you want to manage independently.
Safe, respectful assistance
Your privacy and security matters.
We will never ask you to disclose banking PINs, verification codes or other sensitive account information, and we will never conduct financial transactions on your behalf. You remain in control of your device and enter your own passwords and personal information.
A family member, carer or support worker is welcome to be present during your appointment.

Framilies
Support for families and carers
If you are helping an older parent, family member or person in your care, we can assist with setting up their technology in a way that is simple, accessible and suited to their needs.
We can also provide clear instructions that make it easier for you to help them from a distance.
NDIS participants
Connected Living Support may be suitable for self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants where the assistance relates to the participant’s disability, individual goals and funded supports.
Participants should confirm eligibility with their plan manager or support coordinator before booking.
With disability-sector experience dating back to 1994, we understand the importance of listening, explaining things clearly and providing support at each person’s own pace.
